Farm's own alpine hut, open to the public, in the Gastein Valley<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Stop for refreshment at an altitude of 1,800 m \u2013 Stubnerh\u00fctte on the Gadaunerer Hochalm<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Way up high, nestling amid the imposting Gastein mountains, you'll find our Hochalm at an altitude of 1,800 m<\/strong>. Here there are lush mountain meadows for our cows and calves. We run the quietly situated alpine pasture with the Stubnerh\u00fctte<\/strong> every year from the end of June to the beginning of September<\/strong>. Starting points for hikes to our alpine hut are the Schlossalm or the Angertal. Summit seakers have a number of tour possibilities from here. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Visit our own alpine hut<\/h3><\/div><\/div>

Grandma Greti and grandpa Hans manage the alpine pasture. As dairyfolk they tend the dairy cows, make cheese and butter<\/strong> and look after cater for relatives and visitors. Stop for refreshment at the rustic-style Stubnerh\u00fctte<\/strong> on the Gadaunerer Hochalm and listen to grandma Greti's exciting stories. Andreas, our youngest son, spends his summer holidays with his grandparents. He is the \"herd boy\" of the Stubnerh\u00fctte. His special love of the alpine pasture and cattle distinguish him.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

How to reach our Stubnerh\u00fctte<\/h4><\/div><\/div>

A number of footpaths lead up to the Hochalm:<\/p>\n

  • along the Kreilinger Steig from the Schlossalm<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • via the Lafener Mahder or via the Wolfstall from Angertal<\/strong> (part of the Salzburger Almenweg)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    From the alpine hut you can carry on up to the Kalkbretterkopf<\/strong>, to the Stanzscharte<\/strong> or, for particularly experienced and perserverant hiker, up to the  Silberpfenning<\/strong>. When you reach your destination you can enjoy a fabulous panoramic view of the mountains and the Gastein Valley.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
